General Treasurer
TREASURER: Connecticut District Council of the P.A.W., Inc.
FUNCTION
The Treasurer is required to act as a member of the Executive Committee and maintain a precise and up-to-date record of all financial transactions carried out by the organization. It is a fundamental responsibility that cannot be delegated, as it directly impacts the financial integrity of the organization. Therefore, the Treasurer is expected to exercise due diligence and provide transparent and accurate financial reports to the Executive Committee and other relevant individuals, as required.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Treasurer is responsible for collecting all funds owed to the Council, and for safeguarding all Council funds. The Treasurer is also responsible for supervising the duties of the Financial Secretary, reconciling all financial records, presenting reports and financial minutes to all officials and the general body, and serving as a member of the Finance Committee.
EXPERIENCE
The Treasurer must be a member of one of the churches in the Connecticut Diocese and also a member of the Council. They should have a minimum of two years of good standing within their church and the CDC. Additionally, the Treasurer should possess a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting and be a dependable and trustworthy individual.
